Orange Gingernut Biscuits

I thought this looked like a wonderful recipe and wanted to share


The heat of ginger is just divine and the combination with orange just puts a massive smile on my face! Absolutely delicious dunked in a cup of tea, softening these crunchy biscuits.

They can be made super quickly, giving you and your family a perfect snack to snuggle up on the sofa with as quick as a flash! They’re a lovely golden colour, begging you to dive into them and gobble them all up!


  • 120g Plain Flour
  • 1.25 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 45g Granulated Sugar
  • 50g Butter (unsalted)
  • 2tsp Orange Peel
  • 60g Golden Syrup


  1. Line 2 baking trays with baking parchment so that your biscuits don’t burn to the tray and stick! Preheat the oven to 190 degrees (Fan oven).
  2. Mix all of the dry ingredients (Flour, Ginger, Bicarb and Sugar) into a bowl so that they’re evenly distributed.
